Falling Into Design: Give Thanks

I have been so blessed to have the opportunity to share my gift of interior design with many wonderful clients here in the Colleyville and throughout the DFW Metroplex for the past eleven plus years. As we enter in to the official season of giving thanks, I cannot help but take a moment to acknowledge all the many things I have to be grateful for in my life. I absolutely love this time of year! It is truly the most wonderful time of the year.

These holiday seasons allow me to enhance home interiors by adding beautiful fall inspired colors and décor that exudes warmth and pizzazz to create environments that welcomes family, friends and the feeling of thanksgiving. The colors of fall really can make those seemingly drab design features in a home come to life. Thinking about this makes me realize the idea of giving thanks can truly brighten our spirits and play into every aspect of a well-designed life.

Gods Grace

Gratitude is one of the most powerful gifts we have to share. When we fully express how grateful we are in any given situation, it is easy for others to see the light that shines within. There are so many things to be grateful for in life and ironically most are found in the simplest areas of our lives. When I take a moment to really embrace gratefulness, I often start with the gift of life. The precious ability to breath, create, experience this earth and co-create with one another is where I find great appreciation. The greatest treasures of my life are found in my relationships with family and friends. Experiencing and sharing with those closest to me can immediately improve my perspective for the better.

When giving thanks, I like to recognize the Passion that I often find in gratitude. Finding that place gives me the energy I need to carry me forward and the creativity to create. Experiencing passion is the wellspring of power I use to drive me forward through big and sometimes challenging design projects. Love, for me, walks hand in hand with gratitude. All the richest relationships I have are a result of the love and gratitude I have been honored to share with others and vice versa.

Because I share my love and passion with others I find myself living in the abundance of the Gods grace, focusing more on the divine inspirations within and appreciating all that IS, in my life. I may not live in that space constantly, but as I design my life with a purpose, I focus on all the attributes and grace ever present in my life each day. Simply living in the awareness of all these qualities has shown me the powerful benefits of heartfelt thanksgiving.

Tying all these qualities together helps me to create beauty in my world. As I focus on gratitude, creativity flows in and through me. Allowing me to design spaces that otherwise would not have been possible. I am able to focus on solutions in this place and truly improve the lives of each and every one of my clients through the gift of design. I am able to do this by being open minded and letting go of what I Think I know and venturing into the lives, needs and dreams of my clients. It is there that I gain understanding and embrace the true nature of designing with a purpose.
